Introducing Hip Hooray Studios VERY FIRST after school art program “Paper Playground”
This next program of Paper Playground will run for 4 weeks on Friday afternoons (This program will be a shorter 4 week program as the school term is finishing up for summer)
I have set up the start time intentionally with a gentle entry to make it a smoother transition for those coming straight from school. Studio doors will open at 3:15pm and will have art focussed play and explore stations set up from 3:15 until 4pm. Then from 4:00-5:15pm we will have our set art program. You can come any time from 3:15, But I do request that if you intend to join the program that you are here by 4pm for the actual art lesson. We will have an array of smaller art projects, along with a larger project we will be working on over the duration of 2 weeks (including a very sweet sculptural snail)
My heart for Paper Playground is that it would be a program that nurtures and encourages creativity, exploration, and values the artistic process over the final product. Students will be encouraged to play, experiment, follow their own “flair” and creativity. The focus is on building confidence, curiosity and a love for creating, while developing skills through hands-on experiences with a variety of materials and techniques. This supportive environment allows each student to grow at their own pace and discover their unique artistic voice.
